Claire Battersby completed a Licentiate in Acupuncture in 1998, for which she was awarded Distinction.   She went on to study Chinese Herbal Medicine, graduating in 1998, since when she has run a busy private practice in London. She has over 20 years of experience and has studied with some of the world’s most eminent Chinese medical doctors, including Tinh Thong Nguyen, Jeffrey Yuen, Arnaud Versluys and Dr Huang Huang.

She treats a wide range of conditions, including gynaecological, digestive, respiratory, endrocrine and autoimmune disorders, headaches and migraines. In her practice, she may use acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine, or a combination of the two, to obtain the best possible result.

 

Claire is a specialist in the field of  infertility, gynaecology and obstetrics, and she has worked with some of the UK’s leading gynaecologists and fertility specialists.  Through extensive training and many years of experience, she has gained expertise in the treatment of various menstrual disorders, including PCOS and endometriosis, as well as recurrent miscarriage,  infertility, pregnancy care and the use of acupuncture in support of IVF.  She has helped many women conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy, both naturally, and through assisted conception.

In 2007, Claire established Conceive, a busy clinic in East Dulwich, specializing in reproductive healthcare.  Conceive has a dedicated team of expert practitioners, offering an integrated approach to pregnancy care and the treatment of male and female infertility, and gynaecological disorders.

​

Claire’s initial training was in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the style of medicine practised in China since the Cultural Revolution. In recent years, her interest has led her to pursue post-graduate studies in Classical Chinese Medicine, a style of medicine which is based on the ancient Taoist medical texts.  She is committed to continuing to deepen her knowledge of Chinese medicine.

Claire is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. These professional bodies guarantee the highest standards of training, care and professionalism.
